Selective Laser Melting of (Fe-Si-B)/Cu Composite: Structure and Magnetic Properties Study

A mixture of original 1CP powder and 10 wt.% pure Cu-powder was prepared 1CP-Cu composite samples were obtained by selective laser melting using different process parameters. Comparison showed that addition Cu halved the porosity percentage material. Distribution Cu-phase in 1CP-matrix can be recognized as uniform all samples. X-ray diffraction presence α-Fe solid solution, iron boride Fe2B, crystal Cu. Scanning electron microscopy analysis also allowed to discover ordered solution Fe3Si microstructure. Differential scanning calorimetry data sample contains amorphous phase opposed manufactured same Magnetic properties studied, it found reduce magnetic field energy losses approximately four times.
